Ilonggo Music @ Pintados de Pasi

With the rising popularity of Pintados de Pasi, the premier festival of Passi City about tribes with painted bodies dancing in tribal gaiety celebrated every second week of March is one of the most awaited cultural events in Western Visayas. Coinciding with the 41st Foundation Anniversary of Passi City, the weeklong festival from March 14-20 will surely be a world-class cultural celebration.

Another cultural pride on-the-rise is Ilonggo music. With recent Ilonggo songs invading FM stations throughout the region, real Ilonggo pop artists will surely keep on capturing the sentiments and support from people of all walks of life. On March 19, from 5-8 p.m., Ilonggo music artists whose songs are played in FM stations will have a free mini-concert at Pintados Foodcourt Area, Passi City Public Plaza. Ilonggo music artists who will entertain the crowd are Sheila Barrios (“Ginpalangga,” “Sa Handum Na Guid Lang” and “Salamat Iloy”), Reyn Callao (“Seryoso” and “Bahala Ka Na”), Cherry Callao (“Ikaw Guid Lang”), All Out Kingz (Changes and “Anu Bala?”), Vhouying King of SYK Unit (“Kadaku Sang Moon”), Irish D. (“Ikaw”) with special participation of Mix Ilonggo Crew. The event is a production of RSLPhoenix Music with Passinhon 2000 and City Government of Passi. The event is co-presented by Metro Iloilo Dinagyang Jaycees, Shana Lacs Spa, Camella, UNO, Oliea Topical Oil.
