Sheila @ Tatak Ilonggo MTV Launching

Sheila Barrios together with the whole RSLPhoenix artists launched their Cable TV show at Tatak Ilonggo Channel 41 of Skycable Iloilo last February back to back with ABS-CBN Iloilo's swimsuit event during the Paraw Regatta Festival held at Joe III Garden in Villa, Iloilo. They performed cover English songs that entertained the crowd and touched their hearts with some of their Ilonggo hit songs. This is the teaser clip of the full episode that is now aired in Skycable Iloilo Channel 41.

Sheila set for Cameo Role in a Movie

Sheila Barrios will be playing a cameo role in the movie Gugma sa Panahon sang Bacunawa, a film by Ilonggo literary icon Peter Solis Nery set as entry for 1st Sineng Pambansa International Movie expo this June 2012. She will perform her unreleased song "Nabatyagan" in the film and also set to be the 2nd theme song of the movie. The shooting of the movie started last April 9 until April 14 in different locations in Iloilo. The recently had a radio interview together with the film's cast and US-based crew at RMN Iloilo last April 8 to promote the project to Ilonggos.

Sheila performs @ UI U-day celebration

Ilonggo artist Sheila Barrios recently performed a special opening number at the University of Iloilo’s grand University Day celebration last February 17, 2012, 5PM at the university ground. The grand finale of the weeklong U-day celebration of UI highlighted their theme “The Power of ONE.” Sheila performed Lady Gaga’s hit song “Just Dance” with more than 20 back-up dancers. She showed her versatility as not just a local Ilonggo artist but as a pop singer onstage.

Sheila joined UI U-day Vocal Solo Contest

Sheila Barrios recently joined the University Week Literary Musical contest in the University of Iloilo representing the College of Arts and Sciences last February 15, 2012, 3PM at the university auditorium. She performed the gospel song “Flower in the Rain” by Jaci Velasquez. Last September 2011, Sheila won the vocal solo contest of the College of Arts and Sciences week. Thus, she represented the college for the U-day Lit-Mus contest. Sheila was declared Second Place in the U-day singing contest and the Firs Place goes to the representative of the College of Nursing. For Sheila, singing contests enhanced her talent and confidence. It doesn’t matter if she win or lose, what’s important is her passion to grow as an artist and the experience she got along the way.




Sheila celebrates Valentine’s Day @ Phil. Coastguard Party

Ilonggo artist Sheila Barrios with Cherry Callao recently celebrated Valentine’s Day last February 14, 2012, 7PM at Philippine Coastguard Valentine’s Party in Bo. Obrero in Lapuz, Iloilo City. Sheila and Cherry performed karaoke hit songs that provided great musical entertainment to the crowd. They also performed their Ilonggo hit songs at the end of the party.

Ilongga Divas release first single “SAY”

As a pop trio of unique voices and talents, Ilonggo pop songstress Sheila Barrios, Irish D. And Cherry Callao known as Ilongga Divas finally released their first group single online titled “SAY.” These three artists under RSLPhoenix Music that will now have its own Cable TV show titled “RSLPhoenix MTV” aired at Tatak Ilonggo Channel 41 of Skycable Iloilo will soon shoot an official music video of the song. “SAY” is co-written by RSLPhoenix with the help of the three Ilongga Divas who mesmerized young Ilonggos with their hit singles in FM radio, online and bluetooth-sharing cellphones. For half a year, Sheila, Cherry and Irish toured different places in Iloilo and Bacolod to promote their passion for Ilonggo music. Now, with their very own first single written in English lyrics, these young divas showed their full potential in music. Sheila and Irish are also the two VJs of RSLPhoenix MTV. The song is soulfully written to inspire young people to believe in falling in love and moving on. With “SAY,” they wanted to try new style of songs written in English. The song is included in the repackaged version of “Ilonggo POP Infinity,” the compilation CD album of RSLPhoenix Music released independently. Currently the song is played exclusively at Campus Radio Bacolod and will soon be promoted in other FM stations in Iloilo and Bacolod.

Sheila @ RSLPhoenix MTV launched at Iloilo Capitol Grounds

Ilonggo music artists has a new venue to promote and harness their talents through RSLPhoenix MTV, the first of its kind music TV show to be aired at Tatak Ilonggo channel 41 of Skycable-Iloilo. The show was successfully launched last January 21, 2012, 6 p.m. at Iloilo Provincial Capitol Grounds through a mini-concert featuring rising Ilonggo artists such as Ilongga Divas- Sheila Barrios, Irish D. and Cherry Callao, solo rapper Ezzy, rap groups Mix Ilonggo Crew (M.I.C. Muzik) and SYK Unit. Cindy Bernardo and Edz Callao are two of the newest Ilonggo artists introduced in the event and performed their first singles. Manila-based guest artist, Hamir of B.S. Thugs performed his original songs with M.I.C. Muzik. Their finale song is the live performance of Iloilo River Festival themesong “Aton Manggad” led by the Ilonggo Divas. The artists also launched the repackaged compilation CD album “Ilonggo Pop Infinity” containing 17 fresh Ilonggo tracks produced by RSLPhoenix Music.

The TV show’s resident VJs- Sheila Barrios, Irish D. and Ernie Brito hosted the launching event. The event will be the show’s first episode to be aired anytime this week at Tatak Ilonggo Channel 41 and uploaded in its youtube channel. Expect to see innovative music videos, songs and special guest artists in RSLPhoenix MTV that aims to strengthen and popularized world-class Ilonggo artists and performers. Sheila Barrios, now an Ilonggo VJ

Ilonggo pop singer, Sheila Barrios who is popular with her Ilonggo songs “Ginpalangga,” “Sa Handum na Guid Lang,” and “Salamat Iloy,” is now embracing a new image as one of the Ilonggo VJs of RSLPhoenix MTV, the first Ilonggo music show set to be aired at Tatak Ilonggo Channel 41 of Skycable Iloilo. VJ Sheila together Irish D. and Ernie Brito who are both Ilonggo music artists will host the 30-minute music show dedicated to promote Ilonggo artists with their music videos. With a bubbly personality and talent in hosting, Sheila will make waves not only as a local pop artist in Western Visayas but also as a versatile host and VJ of the music show. Episodes of the show will also be uploaded in youtube very soon. Sheila is happy to be a part of RSLPhoenix MTV who first gave her the break when they recorded and released her first single back in 2010. Unexpectedly, her song released as an independent single through an indie management team of RSLPhoenix Music became a hit and instantly popularized among young Ilonggo—as far as Bacolod, Negros and other provinces in Panay.

Sheila Barrios 2nd Bacolod City Radio Tour

Ilonggo pop singer, Sheila Barrios together with fellow Ilongga Diva, Irish D. recently has a mini-radio in Bacolod City, a day before their live performance at Bays Center last October 8, 2011. Around 4PM, Sheila and Irish arrived in Bacolod City and proceeded to Love Radio 91.1 Bacolod for an on-air interview with the DJs. There were thrilled to have talented Ilongga singers sharing their music to everyone in Bacolod and Negros. They were also asked to perform samples of their songs on-air. Then, they move on to Campus Radio Bacolod where they were greeted and entertained by DJ Papa Janno. Sheila and Irish were asked about their musical influence, love life and many others things.

Sheila and Irish were invited to perform their songs at Critical Breakdown 11th Anniversary the next day at Bays Center, Bacolod City wherein thousands of Hip-hop artists, performers, dancers and enthusiasts gathered for friendship and unity. They were front act artists for popular Manila rapper Mike Kosa.
